Seeden gives your community a home that belongs to the people in it. Start one in minutes, shape it into whatever it needs to be — and if you ever want to host it somewhere else, everything moves with you.

what will you plant
Start from a template that already fits — then shape it into whatever your people need. A template here is just settings, not code, so nothing is locked in.
what it can do
who holds the keys
We handle the hard parts so starting takes minutes. But easy never means ours — from day one, the community belongs to the people in it.
your community gets its own identity on the open network — not an account inside ours.
decisions follow rules your members choose — two of three stewards, five of nine, whatever fits your people.
we hold the keys at the start, so day one is easy. when your community is ready to hold them itself, it can — and life on seeden carries on exactly as it was.
where it can go

Your community lives on an open network, and Seeden is one place to tend it — for most people, the best one: your communities in one portal, new features as we grow, and the care of a tended garden. But some groups need to run their own server — a neighborhood that wants its records held locally, a group whose privacy calls for it. When that's you, your community moves whole: name, members, posts, history, identity.
discover
A place to wander through communities and join the ones that feel like home. Bluesky will be there, and so will communities from across the open network — including ones that weren't built with Seeden. They'll say so, plainly, because that's the point of an open network.
where it lives
We run the servers, keep things safe, and stay out of the way. Starting will always be free while your community finds its feet.
plans are still taking shape — no surprises, promised in writing before anything costs anything
Run everything on your own server, from the start or after you've grown. Everything about your community works the same, because none of it depends on us.
